NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preston City Council will hold a public hearing on May 4, 2026, at 6p.m., at the Preston City Council Chambers, Preston, Minnesota, to consider the transfer of powers and duties of the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization to the Fillmore County Board.
This action is being considered pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 274.01, Subdivision 3– authorizes a city to transfer the powers and duties of its Local Board of Appeal and Equalization to the County Board
The City of Preston may reinstate these powers and duties following the designated transfer period by providing notice to the County on or before December 1 of the year prior to the assessment year in which the City intends to resume such duties;
